James Wilson, CEO

James is the CEO and co-founder of Trinem. James founded Trinem in 2001 with Phil Gibbs (CTO) after identifying an emergence in the Software Configuration Management (SCM) market. In the same year, Trinem became a CA Partner and quickly became the partner of choice for delivering SCM solutions for CA's customers, based on CCC Harvest (v4.x) now known as CA SCM (v12.x).

James' SCM experience goes as far back as his Vision Consulting days when he was responsible for the implementation and administration of the SCM solution for Intelligent Finance - at the time, the largest IT project in Europe.

James has grown numerous alliances with other strategic partners, including IBM, HP and Borland. These partnerships have helped Trinem evolve as an objective SCM organisation, providing reliable, independent guidance to customers.

In addition to the consulting services, Trinem also develops software that enables SCM customers to achieve better results, this could be; greater automation/repeatability, greater RoI, improved performance, governance, compliance or simply to optimise an existing solution.

James worked closely with CA to forge an OEM partnership resulting in one of Trinem's products now being branded, sold and supported by CA, globally. This product is CA SCM Remote Transport Option; read more at the IT Jungle.

Phil Gibbs, CTO

With over 25 years' experience in IT, Phil has worked on a variety of client sites across the UK and mainland Europe. He started programming in 1977 (on a Digitial PDP-8) and has since programmed in a variety of 3GL languages and assembler code. Phil was first exposed to Unix in 1987 and quickly became an enthusiastic shell-scripter, a skill that is still highly relevant today. Indeed, he once built an entire web-based application out of some 200 shell scripts! Even so, he is technology agnostic, coding and implementing solutions in Microsoft technologies as well as on Unix and Linux.

Phil has been working with Harvest (now CA-SCM) since becoming CTO of Trinem in 2001. In that role, Phil has brought his considerable development experience to bear, resulting in the design and implementation of a number of Trinem's innovative products. Whether these products are stand alone (Trilogy) or add-ons to CA-SCM (RTI, Project Manager), the philosophy behind the design is always the same - to allow the customer to maximise their ROI in their IT infrastructure.

Robert joined Trinem in 2003 and brought with him a wealth of skills which has enriched Trinem's consulting skillset and bourne fruit in the form of some of Trinem's products. Robert was one of the lead architects in the development of the CA SCM Remote Transport Option, and has taken Trinem's own Deployment Manager to another level with many new features. TrilogyJ and TrilogyQC also fall under Robert's care.

Robert is a firm believer in the benefits of Open Source software and has contributed to several free software projects. His Harvest Plugin for CruiseControl is now part of the tool and is in use on several customer sites.

Before joinging Trinem, Robert worked as a consultant for a European Training and Consulting firm specialising in n-tier architectures using technolgies such as Java, EJB and CORBA. Robert's expertise in these areas was well used onsite and then brought back into the classroom to deliver training with real experience.
